Geeta Nayyar Biography
Geeta Nayyar, MD, MBA, is a globally recognized chief medical officer, technologist, and bestselling author who helps leaders leverage a human approach to innovation, including rapid advances in AI, to achieve better health and business outcomes.
A widely sought-after speaker and author of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller “Dead Wrong: Diagnosing and Treating Healthcare’s Misinformation Illness,” Dr. G has appeared on prominent media outlets such as CNBC, CNN, Fox and ABC news. She has served as chief medical officer for Salesforce and AT&T, among other executive roles. She currently serves on the board of the American Telemedicine Association and as an advisor to the American Medical Association.
A rheumatologist, Dr. G earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was admitted into an accelerated program at age 17, and her MBA at The George Washington University School of Business.

Thomas Kraus
Tom Kraus, M.H.S., J.D., serves as ASHP's Vice President of the Government Relations Office. Tom previously served as the Deputy Staff Director of Health on the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) under Senators Edward Kennedy and Tom Harkin, where he was instrumental in the passage of key legislation, including Food and Drug Administration (FDA) drug and food safety reforms and user fee legislation, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the Affordable Care Act. Following his time on Capitol Hill, he joined the FDA, where he served as Chief of Staff and Associate FDA Commissioner for Legislation. In this role, he was a top advisor to the FDA Commissioner, a key leader among FDA’s over 14,000 employees, and FDA’s main liaison and advocate to Congress. Kraus has also served as a health policy, management, and life sciences senior executive for Ernst & Young, McKinsey & Company, Avalere Health, and, most recently, the Boston Consulting Group. In these roles, he engaged with virtually every major component of U.S. healthcare, including agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services, state agencies, the pharmaceutical industry, health insurance companies, and many other companies and agencies.

Jack Temple, PharmD, M.S., CPEL is Vice President of Pharmacy at UW Health. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina in 2004 and his Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration from the University of Wisconsin in 2006. He completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 specialty residency in Pharmacy Practice Management from the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. Jack currently serves on the ASHP PELA Advisory Group and the McKesson Executive Alliance. Previously, Jack has served as Chair for the Vizient-Medication Use and Information Technology Committee, Chair for the Vizient Pharmacy Business Council, and a member of the Vizient-Pharmacy Executive Committee. With more than 15 years serving as a leader, Jack has promoted pharmacy services that deliver optimal medication therapy in the right patient care setting. Jack has a passion for building cutting-edge pharmacy services and is dedicated to training and educating the next generation of clinicians and leaders. During his leadership career at UW Health, Jack has held various leadership roles in operations, supply chain, informatics, and business services. Now as Vice President he brings a wealth of experience to shape strategic plans to elevate pharmacy practice using health information technology advances, deploying automation and technology for dispensing operations, and has worked to improve medication use, safety, and quality to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Robert ‘Bob’ Flannery, CPA, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for UW Health. UW Health is the integrated health system comprised of the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, Swedish American Health System and Quartz Health Insurance. UW Health includes 6 hospitals in WI and IL, 90+ primary and specialty outpatient locations, 2,550 physicians, residents, and fellows, 24,000 employees and RNs, $5.5 billion in revenue. Bob has worked in healthcare finance since 1986, and at UW Health since 2002. Bob’s educational background includes an undergraduate focus in Accounting & Marketing and graduate work in Total Quality Management. Bob is a licensed, Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin. Bob partners with other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies to support the UW Health organizational mission of advancing health without compromise and the vision of remarkable healthcare. Bob has responsibility for finance, payor contracting, treasury management, physician compensation, revenue cycle, and physician practice management..
Kersten Weber Tatarelis, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, FASHP, FACHE
Vice President, Enterprise Clinical Pharmacy Operations

Kersten Weber Tatarelis is the Enterprise Vice President of Clinical Pharmacy Operations for Advocate Health. Kersten has an extensive background as a clinician and operations leader in a variety of health system settings. In her current role, Kersten is responsible for enterprise clinical pharmacy services, including drug policy and formulary management through Enterprise Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, antimicrobial stewardship, transitions of care services, clinical data analytics and clinical practice advancement. Additionally, Kersten oversees enterprise virtual clinical pharmacy services whereby she directs innovative approaches to patient care delivery models to improve healthcare access. Kersten completed her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biology and Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Doctorate in Pharmacy at University of Illinois Chicago, where she also completed her residency training, as well as her Master of Business Administration with a focus on strategic management and leadership at Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois. In her free time, Kersten stays busy with her four young children, their sports and activities and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Anthony C. Scott, PharmD, MBA, FASHP

Anthony (Tony) C. Scott is a Director of Pharmacy Operations and Account Management at Cardinal Health in which he oversees the acute and ambulatory care services for partner facilities within the region. He obtained his PharmD from The University of Georgia and his MBA in Healthcare Management from New England College. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA and then completed his PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at the North Florida - South Georgia VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He is also a diplomat of the American Society of Heath System Pharmacists (ASHP) Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Academy and was recently granted fellow status with ASHP. He was also the PGY1/2 Health-System Pharmacy Administrative Residency program director at UChicago Medicine. Anthony has been an active member of ASHP, currently serving as the Chair for the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders (SPPL). He has previously served as the Chair for the Educational Steering Committee and was a workgroup coordinator for the section advisory group on Operations & Leading Change. He has been an ASHP Foundation Research Project Member on RFID technology. He also served on the Committee on Nominations for the SPPL. He remains active with the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (GSHP) since returning to the state of Georgia.

Beyond academia, Dr. Hammonds has designed and led executive leadership programs for senior and executive leaders across multiple industries.
